Eti Akter is the winner of ‘SAPNA Ma Sera Dosh’

Dhaka, Nov 04 – Eti Akter from Kaliganj, Gazipur, won the contest of ‘SAPNA Ma Sera Dosh’. The first runner up is Fatema Akter from Lakshmipur Sadar and the second runner up is Razia Begum from Ramgoti. Special recognition for SAPNA Ma went to Nandita Mondol. The final round of the ‘SAPNA Ma Sera Dosh’ competition was held on Saturday (November 2) at the BRAC Center In, Mohakhali. The Minister of Planning M. A. Mannan, MP was present as chief guest at the program organized by DORP and FNB.
Every contestant gets cash, crest, prize bond and certificate. Winner Eti Akter was crowned by Dr Qazi Kholiquzzaman Ahmad, Chairman of PKSF. The Goodwill Ambassador of ‘DORP SAPNA Ma’ Ms Shweta Varpe, Director of FNB Md. Rofiqul Islam, Risk Management Director of BURO Bangladesh Pranesh Chandra Banik was present at the Award ceremony. The program was chaired by Md. Azher Ali Talukder, Charman of DORP. The founder of DORP and Pioneer of Maternity Allowance and SAPNA Package AHM Nouman described the aims and objectives of the program at
the beginning. The competition was organized with 12 mothers from 12 Upazilas who received maternity allowance centre‘ dream package’ implemented by the Department of Women’s Affairs, taking into consideration the family health, education, culture, socio-economic life standard, personality, leadership and beauty of the mothers. The theme of the program was ‘SAPNA ma; Swapner Desh, Agami Prithibir Bangladesh’.
At the program selected mothers presented the ‘Mother’s Parliament’ session and met with the judges’ questions. Rasheda K Chowdhury, Executive Director of Campaign for Popular Education, Farida Yasmin, General Secretary of National Press Club and Ilias Kanchan, Chairman of ‘Nirapod Sarak Chai’ and member of the Advisory Committee of DORP are the judges of the final round. Dilruba Sathi was the anchor of the program. Sabina Yasmin from Chatkhil, Rabeya begum from Komolnagar, Shyamoli Akter from Singra, Newa Akter from Sremangal, Salma begum from Meherpur, Minara Begum from Doulatkhan, Lipi Begum from Ulipur and Merina Begum from Badalgachi get consolidate prize included prize bond and certificate.
The Minister of Planning M. A. Mannan, MP said that Government giving Maternity allowance to the poor mother. In future, the allowance will be increased. On the occasion, the organizers and the guests demanded that the implementation of maternity allowance centre ‘SAPNA Package’ be implemented across the country to alleviate poverty and achieve SDG goals.
