Fagun Haway, the first film on the Language Movement of 1952 has received Censor Board’s approval. Members of the board have reportedly praised the film and given it an uncut certificate. Now the film is on its way for getting released on February 15. Jahid Hasan Ovi, chief of the promotional partner of the film has expressed his hopes that the film would get released on February 15. President Abdul Hamid has consented to attend the premiere show at Star Cineplex, Shimanta Shambhar, Dhanmondi. The film directed by Tauquir Ahmed was approved yesterday.
Fagun Haway is about the setting of a remote rural area during the Language Movement. Two youngsters played by Nusrat Imrose Tisha and Siam Ahmed get entangled in the new socio-political scenario during the movement and start getting involved in it. Other actors of the film are Bollywood star Yashpal Sharma, Faruk Ahmed, Abul Hayat, Afroza Banu, Shazu Khadem and more. The film is based on Tito Rahman’s literary work named ‘Bou Kotha Kow.’
On the other hand noted director Mostofa Kamal Raz’s fifth film ‘Jodi Ekdin’ also got Censor Board’s approval. The film was cleared for release on January 31. The film is romantic one centering on issues of modern family life. Singer Tahsaan Khan will debut on silver screen through the film. Tollywood actress Srabonti will also appear in a Bangladeshi production for the first time through the film. The film has been produced by Bengal Multimedia.
