Chittagong – Peacempire—funded by 120 Under 40 project—organizes Family Planning Dialogue on June 12 in the port city of Chittagong, Bangladesh.
A number of 310 plus participants attended the seminar. The attendees include intermediate students, undergrad students, young parents, community workers, doctors, young professionals from a diverse background of professions.
The speakers addressed a wide range of issues—family planning taboos regarding menstruation, SRHR issues and importance of sex education.
“We should start educating our children about sex, at the home first rather than schools”, said Speakers’ Council President Imran Ahmed.
The project engages all the participants through a number of creative engagements that include teamwork and debates on the sensitive questions of sex education. -Rafiqul Alam Khan
