A farmer was killed in an elephant attack in Boalkhali upazila on Monday morning.The deceased was identified as Rupon Das, 55, son of Jatindra Das of Joystyapura village in the upazila.
Inspector (Investigation) of Boalkhali Police Station Mohammad Helaluddin Faruki said a wild elephant attacked Rupon while working on his vegetable field around 6am, leaving him dead on the spot.On November 24, three people were trampled to death by wild elephants in the upazila.
