Fasting no bar for Mushfiqur’s fitness training

DHAKA, April 26:Country’s most dependable batsman Mushfiqur Rahim continued his fitness training in his desperate attempt to keep him fit despite fasting.
Normally there is a trend that the players don’t want to do the fitness training while they are fasting. And when the players are locked down at
their own home due to the Coronavirus effect, some may also feel the fitness training is not essential at this moment, specially when there is no cricket.
But Mushfiqur Rahim, well reputed for his dedication and passion for his intense practice and training, doesn’t want to show the fasting as an excuse
of not training. He showed that a sportsman could still train hard despite fasting.
In the first day of Muslim’s holy Ramadan, Mushfiqur Rahim posted a video of his training session with a caption, in which he wrote, “Fasting can’t be
an excuse. Alhamdulillah keep fasting and work hard. Stay safe, stay home and pray for each other.”
In the time of Covid-19 which makes the life standstill all around the world, Mushfiqur also came up with some assistance for the vulnerable people
apart from training hard at home.
He had already donated the 50 percent of his month salary and in addition helped some vulnerable people by his own. He also donated essential equipment
in Bogra district from which he hails. He will put his bat with which he scored first double century in Test by a Bangladeshi batsman up for auction.
