Dhaka – Chattogram Abahani Limited makes a good start in the season’s curtain raiser soccer meet, Walton Federation Cup Football Tournament, beating Rahmatganj Muslim Friends Society by 3-1 goals in the opening match at the Bangabandhu National Stadium here on Saturday.Earlier, Senior Vice President of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) Abdus Salam Murshedy MP inaugurated the soccer meet in the afternoon.
In the day’s opener, the sky-blue team from the port city of Chattogram dominated the first half by a solitary goal.Momdou Bah put Abahani ahead in the 35th minute while Rakibul Islam leveled the margin for the old Dhaka outfit Rahmatganj MFS in the 57th minute.
