Ashraf Shishir’s second feature film Gopon – The Inner Sound will participate in the 20th International Festival of Detective Films and Television programs on Law-Enforcement Themes, known as Detective Fest, in Moscow, Russia.
The five-day festival will begin on April 23 featuring films in six categories. Shishir’s Gopon will compete with 18 other films from countries like India, Greece, Russia, Italy, Mexico, Columbia, Poland, Argentina, Iraq, Nigeria and others.‘It is an honor to get invitation for participating at a prestigious festival. Gopon has so far participated at 14 festivals in 10 countries’, Shishir said.The film, featuring the story of a man who gets involved with underground politics, won the best film award at the 5th Delhi International Film Festival, he said.
Sumana Soma, Kaberi Roychowdhury, Imran Imu, Labanya Katrina Serajul Islam, Abul Kalam Azad and others acted in the film. Shishir’s first film Gariwala participated in 86 festivals held in 30 countries and bagged 26 awards. The film also got National Film Award in the best short film category.
