Star Cineplex’s first feature film, No Dorai (Dare to Surf), will compete in the Asia Pacific Screen Awards. This is the 14th edition of this Australia based awards. Films from 70 countries around the world will participate in the competition.Set in the scenic Cox’s Bazar, the film follows a young girl as she struggles to conform to social norms while pursuing her dream of becoming a surfer.
Directed by Taneem Rahman Angshu, No Dorai (2019) stars Sunerah Binte Kamal and Sariful Razz in central roles.
Mahboob Rahman, Chairman of Star Cineplex and the producer of the film, said: “We are glad to be selected in the fiction competition category. We want to share our joy with the audience.”
The award-giving ceremony will be held in Brisbane, Australia, on November 26.
