Financial Express News Editor Abdullah M Hasan no more

Abdullah M Hasan, News Editor of The Financial Express breathed his last on Friday afternoon at the LabAid Hospital. He had been suffering from Covid-19 since July 4 when he was admitted to the hospital. He was 72. Before being attacked by coronavirus he has been suffering from kidney, heart and hypertension problems. A workaholic he served The Bangladesh Times, The Daily Star, The Telegraph, The New Nation, The Sun and the Monitor. He has left behind his wife, two daughters and a host of relatives, friends and well-wishers.
A man of amiable disposition, Abdullah Mohammad Hasan was born in 1948 in Rangpur town. Son-in-law of legendary journalist Abdus Salam and brother-in-law another legend ABM Musa Abdullah M Hasan was honest, truthful, efficient and well-versed in current affairs.
In his death, the profession of journalism in Bangladesh has suffered a big loss. The President of National Press Club, Saiful Alam and Secretary, Farida Yasmeen, in a joint statement, have condoled his death and sympathized with the members of the bereaved family.
