Firearms of UPDP recovered in Langdu, Rangamati

Dhaka, June 29 – Army personnel in a drive recovered firearms and ammunition from a reported criminals’ den at Golachhari in Langdu upazila early Thursday.Tipped-off, a team of army men led by commanding officer of Langdu army zone, Lieutenant Colonel Abdul Alim raided the den and recovered two AK-47 rifles, two Chinese riffles, 152 bullets, four magazines, eight uniforms, and documents and papers of UPDF (United People’s Democratic Front).
The drive was conducted following information that a gang of UPDF men were gathering in the area for committing criminal activities, said Alim.
However, none was arrested as the criminals managed to flee the scene sensing the presence of the army men. – UNB
