First-ever 5-star resort to open in Srimangal Wednesday

The ‘Grand Sultan Tea Resort and Golf’, the first-ever five-star resort established with total local investment in Srimangal upazila, is going to start its journey on Wednesday. Khwaja Tipu Sultan, Chairman of Excursion and Resorts Bangladesh Ltd, the mother concern of the resort, will formally open the resort in the evening on the day. Popular singers will rock the resort area on the first day of the two-day inaugural ceremony.   Besides, invited guests, people from all walks of life will have the opportunity to participate in the ceremony.   The resort area stretches over 13.6 acres of attractive land in the backdrop of scenic tea estates and undisturbed wilderness of Srimangal.   The nine-storey resort building spreading over an area of 200,000 square-feet space offers 145 rooms with all sorts of state-of-the-art facilities. Out of these rooms, 45 are equipped with king size and 43 are with queen size beds. It also offers an attractive nine-hole Golf course. Moreover, it possesses a 3-D theatre where 44 people can enjoy cinema at a time. There is also a huge library for the booklovers. Other facilities of the resort include banquette halls ‘Roshni Mahal’ with a capacity of 1,200 people and ‘Naomi Manjil’ with a capacity of 750 people.   The resort has three 5-star standard restaurants with the capacity of 330 persons named Fowara Dine, Shahee Dine and Aranya Bilash. – UNB
