Football’s next season to begin with Federation Cup in December

DHAKA – The next season of football will begin in the first week December with curtain-raiser Federation Cup Football, Professional Football League Committee’s (PFLC) chairman Abdus Salam Murshedy informed after the league committee’s meeting today.

The PFLC’s meeting was held today at the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) conference room with BFF senior vice president and PFLC’s chairman Abdus Salam Murshedy in the chair. Representatives of Bangladesh Premier League’s clubs were also present in the meeting.

Murshedy said the players will get up to forty five percent of their 2019-20 pending remuneration from their respective clubs at the time of signing with the clubs for 2020-21 season.

The PFLC chairman said most of the participating clubs in the league opted to keep four foreign players for the upcoming football season.

The meeting also decided to shorten the upcoming league duration and reduced the number venues to three or four preferably around Dhaka.

Murshedy informed that after approving the today’s agendas in the PFLC ‘s meeting all these agendas will be placed in the BFF next executive committee’s meeting for final approval.BSS
