Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader on Monday said the Dhaka-Chittagong four-lane highway to be formally opened on July 2 next.“Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the highway before eid, and it’ll be an eid gift to people from her,” said Quader.
He was talking to reporters while visiting the work on Dhaka-Chittagong Highway at Miar Bazar in Chouddagram upazila of the district.
Terming the country’s road conditions better than anytime before, the minister said people will not have to suffer on highways this time for traffic congestions.
