Dhaka – The 3rd edition of the Bashundhara Bangladesh Open golf tournament will begin at Kurmitola Golf Club on Wednesday. Famed Bangladeshi golfer Siddikur Rahman who was in off form for last two years, is expected to get back his form in the tournament amid pressure of home crowd.“I haven’t been able to play my best in the last two years but I have always got a very strong home support. I know they have high expectations of me. I hope I won’t disappoint them this time,” the 32-year-old two-time Asian Tour winner Siddikur said.“For sure there will be pressure, playing in front of my home crowd and on my home course…I know my way around that course so I hope to take advantage of that,” added Siddikur who finished 35th and 38th in the last two editions.Including 39 Bangladesh golfers, around 134 players from 23 countries are taking part in the $300,000 third leg of the Asian Tour schedule this season.UNB
