‘Gondi’ features Rupankar’s song

Popular singer from Pacchim Bangla, Rupankar Bagchi has joined Fakhrul Arefin Khan’s second movie ‘Gondi’. He gave voice to a song of this movie titled ‘Tobu Dupaye’. Renowned music personality Debojyoti Mishra wrote and composed the song. The song has been released on December 6 on the official Facebook page of Gondi movie and also in Gorai film’s YouTube Channel.
After the enormous success of ‘Bhuban Majhi’, director Fakrul Arefin khan has started the work of Gondi movie. Editing of the movie is now underway. Another song titled ‘Gondi Chariye Bondhu Dujon’ of this movie has also been released.
About the song’s lyrics and melody Debojyoti Mishra said, “One-day Arefin told me about the story of this movie. That day the song came to my mind. When I told him about it he instantly agreed to use the song in this movie. I hope people will like the song.”
Fakrul Arefin Khan said, “Rupankar Bagchi is one of my favorite singers. He is so popular in the whole Bengali music industry. A song in Gondi movie will be on his voice. It is a great pleasure for us.”
The genre of ‘Gondi’ is romantic-comedy. The story of the movie will proceed with the story of one man and one woman respectively aged 55 and 65 years. How their friendship went through in their post-retirement period, how the family and the people around them considered the relation between them, will be depicted in the movie.
Sabyasachi Chakrabarty, who is considered as one of the most prolific actors of Pacchim Bangla and is best known for portraying iconic Bengali detective characters—Feluda and Kakababu, along with elegant Bangladeshi actress Suborna Mustafa will be acting in the lead role of ‘Gondi’. Other starrers of the movie are Shubashish Bhowmick, Maznun Mizan, Aparna Ghosh, Aman Reza, Payel Mukherjee and more. The movie was shot in different location of Dhaka, Cox’s Bazar and London.
