Benapole – A housewife, who was traumatised by the death of her newborn baby over two months back, allegedly committed
suicide at Navaran village in Sharsha upazila on Tuesday night.The deceased was identified as Anjana Rani, 20, wife of Palash Kumar,a resident of Navaran village.Quoting locals, police said Anjana had given birth to a baby two and a half months back.But the child died after eight days of its birth and the incident made Anjana utterly depressed. She hung herself with the ceiling of her room around 10pm.Later, she was whisked off to Jessore Medical College Hospital where on-duty doctors declared her dead.An unnatural death case was filed with Kotwali Police Station.(UNB)
