Dhaka – Bangladesh Premier League champions Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club earned their 2nd consecutive victory in the KFC Independence Cup Football crushing Brothers Union by 5-0 goals at the Bangabandhu National Stadium here on Wednesday.The Dhanmondi outfit started their season’s campaign with a 2-0 victory over traditional Dhaka Mohammad SC on Monday.
Sheikh Jamal skipper Wedson Anseleme slammed the first hat-trick of the season scoring three goals in the 20th, 71st and 84th minute while Nigerian booter Emeka Darlington scored the remaining goals in the 23rd and 75th minute for the winners, which dominated the first half by 2-0 goals Brothers Union made the lone chance in the 55th minute but a header of their forward Awudu Ibrahim was cleared by Jamal defender Anisur Alam Sweet from the goalline.After the day’s match, Sheikh Jamal topped the group list securing full six points from two matches while Brothers bagged three points from two matches.agences.agences
