Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) has donated 50,000 pieces of winter clothes to the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund.
Acting IBBL chairman Engineer Mustafa Anwar handed over the clothes to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her official residence Ganobhaban on Saturday, said a press release on Sunday.Bangladesh Association of Banks chairman Nazrul Islam Majumdar and IBBL deputy managing director Mohd Shamsul Haque were present on the occasion.
Islami Bank has allocated 2.35 lakh pieces of warm clothes at a cost of Tk 60 million for destitute people in the current year. Most of the clothes have already been distributed through its head office and branches. – UNB
