IBBL inaugurates 5 new branches

Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited inaugurated 5 new branches as Dohazari Branch, Chattogram, Godagari Branch, Rajshahi, Hossainpur Branch, Kishoreganj, Muksudpur Branch, Gopalganj and Nangalkot Branch, Cumilla on 15 October 2020, Thursday at virtual platform.

Md. Mahbub ul Alam, Managing Director and CEO of the bank was present in the program as chief guest. Mohammed Monirul Moula, Muhammad Qaisar Ali and Md. Omar Faruk Khan, Additional Managing Directors of the Bank addressed the program as special guests. Md. Mosharraf Hossain, Deputy Managing Director presided over the program. Head Office Executives and Officials, Head of concerned Zones and Branches, executives and officials, clients, well-wishers and dignitaries participated in the local functions and were also connected with the Head Office program virtually.
Md. Mahbub ul Alam said, ‘Islamic banking is a universal banking system’. By providing welfare services to all people irrespective of caste, creed and class, IBBL has achieved global recognition beyond state boundary. IBBL contributes significantly to national foreign exchange reserve by collecting expatriates remittance, he added. He said IBBL has achieved this position of excellence by dint of honesty and Shari`ah principles among its clients and officials as well as sincerity, dedication and modern technology rich services.
IBBL, the pioneer of Shari`ah based banking is currently providing state-of-art banking services through 366 Branches, 127 Sub-Branches, 1604 Agent Banking Outlets and 1065 own ATM/CRM Booths and about 11,000 shared ATMs and CRM booths. Mentioning that the deposit of IBBL has crossed Tk.1.11 trillion he said that, the deposit of the bank has increased by about 17 thousand crore this year surpassing all the records of the past. IBBL is the only Bangladeshi bank in the list of top 1000 banks in the world, the only AAA-rated private bank in the country and World’s Best Islamic Bank CIBAFI Awarded bank which has become a symbol of trust and confidence to 160 million people of the country.
He directed the Head of branches and officials to work for the improvement of the living standards of the people of the country as well as the respective areas of these new branches.
He said Bangladesh economy is fastest growing one in the world and it is regaining back coping with the challenge of Covid 19 under the visionary and prudent leadership of Honorable Prime Minister. IBBL is playing an important role in this development. – Press release
