A meeting of the Shariah Supervisory Committee of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited was held at the Islami Bank Tower here on Sunday.
Mufti Sayeed Ahmad, Vice-Chairman of the Committee and Mufti of Al Jamiatus Siddikiah Darul Ulum (Madrasah-e-Furfura Sharif), presided over the meeting, said a press release.Abdur Raquib, former Executive President of the bank; Shamsuddin Zia, Mufti and Muhaddis of Al-Jamiatul Islamia, Patya, Chittagong; Maulana Abdus Shaheed Naseem, President of Bangladesh Quran Shikkha Society; Dr Hasan Mohammad Moinuddin, Associate Professor of International Islamic University Chittagong; Dr ASM Toriqul Islam, Professor of Islamic University, Kushtia; and Maulana Mohiuddin Rabbani, Muhtameem of Jamia Islamia Markajul Uloom, Dhaka, among others, attended the meeting.
IBBL Managing Director Mohammad Abdul Mannan, its Deputy Managing Directors Muhammad Abul Bashar and Md Habibur Rahman Bhuiyan and Executive Vice Presidents Md Shamsul Huda and Mohammed Shahid Ullah were also present.
The meeting took various decisions on compliance of Shariah and expressed satisfaction at the overall activities of the bank. – News Desk
