Islami Bank Bangladesh Ltd (IBBL) has been awarded Gold Medal for its outstanding performance in remittance services.Bangladesh Bank governor Dr Atiur Rahman handed over the medal to IBBL managing director Mohammad Abdul Mannan at a function organised by Centre for Non Resident Bangladeshis (NRBs) at a city hotel on Saturday.
US ambassador Dan W Mozena, president of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) Kazi Akram Uddin Ahmed, President of Association of Banks Bangladesh Nurul Amin, President of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) M Sabur Khan, President of Baira Shahjalal Mazumder, and diplomats of different countries joined the function.
NRBs chairperson MS Shekil Chowdhury presided over the function.
