DHAKA- The Independence Day Runner Open Tennis competition will begin on Thursday (April 7) at the National Tennis Court Complex in the city’s Ramna area.Sponsored by Runner Group, Bangladesh Tennis Federation (BTF) organised the five-day event. A total of 250 participants from different federations and affiliated clubs/ associations will take part in the meet.The competition will be held in men’s singles and doubles, women’s
singles, boys’ singles under-14 year, girls’ singles under-14 years, boys’/girls under-12 years, boys’/girls’ under 10-year, boys’/girls’ under-8 years, senior 50 plus and senior 55 plus events.In this regards, a press conference was held on Tuesday at the National Tennis Complex to give all the details of the meet.A cash prize of Taka 1,47,000.00 will be given in the men’s singles & doubles, and women’s singles event.Director of Runner Group M Anwarul Azim, Tournament Director Mohammad Ali Dwin, BTF general secretary Meer Khurshid Anwar, Tournament Co-Coordinator and BTF treasurer Khaled Salahuddin were present, among others, on the occasion.(BSS)
