The Inter-District Women’s Table Tennis (TT) Competition began on Friday at the Dhanmondi Sultana Kamal Women’s Sports Complex in the city.In the day’s opening team event matches, Jessore district beat Shariatpur by 3- 1 sets and Bagerhat district defeated Dhaka by 3-2 sets.
In the women’s single matches, Seema of Pabna beat Yasmin of Manikganj, Juthi of Narail defeated Raisa of Rangpur, Lopa of Borguna outplayed Suma and Ushi of Jessore outclassed Tahmina Akter of Manikganj all by 3-0 sets.
Earlier, National Sports Council director (sports) Haiul Quaium formally inaugurated the two-day long meet as the chief guest.
The final of the meet will be held today with NSC director (administration) SM Rezaul Mostafa Kamal will be present as the chief guest and distribute the prizes.
