Dhaka – Five players shared the lead in the category ‘A’ points table of the Saif Powertec 2nd International Rating Chess Tournament after the 2nd round at Bangladesh Chess Federation hall-room and NSC Tower Auditorium on Sunday.GM Ziaur Rahman, GM Mollah Abdullah Al Rakib, GM Enamul Hossain Razib, IM Mohammad Minhaz Uddin and FM Mohamad Fahad Rahman secured full two points each to share the lead.In the 2nd round, Zia beat Masum Hossain, Rakib defeated Nayem Haque, Razib outplayed Abzid Rahman, Minhaz defeated Mohammad Sagar and Fahad beat Anata Choudhury.In the other 2nd round category ‘A’games, FM Taibur Rahman beat Suvradeepta Das of India, Nayan Kumar Mohanto played draw against IM Abu Sufian Shakil while Mohammad Sameem drew against S M Sharon. In the category ‘B’, a total of 54 players shared the lead, including WIM Rani Hamid and WFM Sharmin Sultana Shirin, also after 2nd round at the same venue.In the 2nd round category ‘B’ games, Rani Hamid beat Nasim Al Islam and WFM Sharmin Sultana Shirin beat Rezaul Karim.UNB news agency
