Dhaka – International Master Mohammad Minhaz Uddin of Bangladesh Navy clinched the Walton International Rating Chess title with one match to spare securing full seven points from seven matches at the Chess Federation hall-room on Monday.
CM Sharif Hossain is in the 2nd position with 6 points. Six players are sharing the 3rd slot collecting 5.5 points each.
The players are: FM Syed Mahfuzur Rahman of Janata Bank Officer Welfare Society, FM Khandaker Aminul Islam, FM Sheikh Nasir Ahmed, FM Mohammad Javed and CM Subrota Biswas of Bangladesh Navy and FM Mehdi Hasan Parag of Golden Sporting Club.
