Jahid Hasan to debut in Indian films

Culture Desk

Jahid Hasan has been roped in for acting in an Indian film project. The story is based on a novel by Abul Bashar, popular writer of West Bengal, India. The film has been titled “Sitar” and the novel from which it will be adapted in named “Bhorer Prashuti.” Jahid Hasan will act in the role of Dilu. Ashish Rai will direct the film. It will be made in Bangla and Telegu. Shooting is expected to start in January next year. The India-Bangladesh border region in the North Bengal district of Dinajpur has been selected as the primary shooting site. Jahid will have to stay away from home for at least one month to take part in the shooting.

The script of the film has made Jahid ‘jubilant,’ according to reports. The original novel is also according to his liking. Jahid who claims to avoid regular appearance in dramas in the country due to lack of good scripts, has hopefully found a better one under Ashish Rai.
