The manager of the local branch of Jamuna Bank Ltd went missing from the city on Thursday evening.Mosharraf Hossain, 45, manager of Comilla Branch of Jamuna Bank situated at Laksam road of the city and son of Abdur Rashid of Nalua village in Kachua upazila of Chandpur district, used to live in a rented house at Munshefbari of the city.
Victim’s younger brother Shahadat Hossain filed a general diary (GD) with Kotwali Model Police Station on Friday afternoon in this connection, said Inspector (Investigation) of the police station Samsuzzaman.
According to the GD, Mosharraf got out of his residence around 6:30pm on Thursday. But he did not return home and his mobile phone was also found switched off.
He also said several bank customers, however, alleged that Mosharraf embezzled money from the bank and went into hiding.
