Jaya Ahsan’s mother receives ‘Ratnagarbha’ award

Jaya’s mother received the prestigious award owing to her daughter’s immense success in Tollywood.  On the occasion of International Women’s Day, in an event organized by Bengal Chamber of Commerce, Jaya Ahsan’s mother Rehana Maswood received the ‘Ratnagarbha’ award.
Jaya Ashan accompanied her mother to the stage as well.
Jaya’s mother received the prestigious award owing to her daughter’s immense success in Tollywood. Jaya has already made a name for herself in the industry and worked with prominent film-makers, producers and actors.
After receiving the award, Rehana Maswood said: “I am here because of my daughter. I am being rewarded because of her successful career. I am very proud today.”
Jaya said: “I have received many awards in my life. But I can’t explain the feeling of accompanying my mother to the stage and watch her receive the award. I am grateful to the organizers for making this happen. And I want you all to pray for my mother’s health.”
On Facebook, Jaya also wrote: My mother was given the ‘Ratnagarbha’ award for being the indispensable suppport system behind my humble success. She is the one who always encouraged me to be who I am today.”
Jaya Ahsan launched her career in Kalkata with Arindam Sil’s Aborto. Her most recent film with Prosenjit Chatterjee titled Robibaar is currently running in Indian and Bangladeshi theatres.
