Kate Middleton went to a bar in a chic black jacket

Imagine that you’re waiting at the bar at your friend’s birthday party, held in a low-key local restaurant, when a striking woman in a hip black jacket slides by next to you. “I love your jacket,” you say, almost automatically. But when she turns to you to respond, “Oh, thanks! I’ve had it for years and never wear it,” you see the woman is Kate Middleton. In an instant, you drop your beer, you squeal, and you faint, in rapid succession. This is no doubt what took place over and over again this weekend (exactly like that) when Kate and Prince William made an appearance at the birthday party of Louise Aubrey-Fletcher, wife of Harry Aubrey-Fletcher, who is one of William’s “oldest and closest friends.” Also in attendance at the party was Emilia Jardine-Paterson d’Erlanger, a classmate of Kate’s and one of Prince George’s seven godparents. The party was held at Bunga Bunga, a Battersea restaurant which bills itself as “an Englishman’s Italian,” and features karaoke, pizza, and a “euro disco club” party experience on its first floor. (Tomorrow night is their “#pancakes and prosecco” special, if you happen to find yourself in Battersea on Tuesday and enjoy indulging in breakfast-for-dinner on occasion. Plus, you can then tell people that you and Kate “basically have the same life.”)
William and Kate were accompanied by six police protection officers at the festivities, which we hope didn’t get in the way of Kate playing darts or William doing tequila shots, or whatever other ways the two of them may have wanted to “be normal.” Kate wore an trendy-looking black jacket-a more youthful look that we generally see her in-that would have fit right in on the streets of Soho, with a Topshop bag on her arm and Pinkberry in her hand. William, unsurprisingly, didn’t let quite as loose, wearing a sports jacket and slacks. – Yahoo Entertainment
