Khulna to take on Rangers as BPL resumes Friday

Dhaka — Khulna Tigers will take on Rangpur Rangers as the ongoing Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) is set to resume after a one-day gap on Friday at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium.

In the second game of the day, Chattogram Challengers will face off Cumilla Warriors.

Challengers are at the top of the points table of BPL winning four out of five games while Khulna Tigers are at number two with two wins from four games.

Both of Rajshahi Royals and Cumilla Warriors have played three matches and won two of them while Dhaka Platoon and Sylhet Thunder played four matches each. Platoon won two of them, but Thunder are yet to register a single win.

Along with Thunder, Rangpur Rangers are the other team who are yet to enjoy a victory in BPL’s this season so far. The Rangers played three matches and lost all of them.

Imrul Kayes of the Challengers is currently at the top of the table with most runs of 163 with the best score of 61 while Chadwick Walton of the same team at number two with 153 runs.

Challengers Left-arm pace-bowler Mehedi Hasan Rana is leading the list of the most-wicket-taking bowlers with eight scalps in three matches. Soumya Sarkar is the second in the list with five wickets in three games.UNB
