Lalon festival ends in Tangail

The festival, organised by Sadhu Sangha, ended on high notes and attracted a huge number of Lalon disciples and followers of his spiritualism. A three-day Lalon festival ended in Tangail on Sunday with a pledge to follow the ideals of Lalon Shah, the mystic poet and reformer.

This year, the slogan of the festival urged everyone to be honest and tell the truth.
The festival began on Friday at Khilda High School field in Kalihati upazila.
Deputy Commissioner of Tangail Shahidul Islam was the chief guest on the last day of the festival. Fakir Lalon Sai, founder of Gazipur Shadhur Bazar, was also present as a special guest, among others.
Sumir Baul and his group performed Lalon songs at the festival.
On the first day and second day of the festival, there were discussions about Lalon Shah, and Shangskritik Jote members, led by Shah Alam, performed songs.
Countless number of Lalon fans enjoyed mystic songs all night long.
