Dhaka – Leonine Chess Club emerged unbeaten champions in the Marcel Air Conditioner First Division Chess League’2019 securing 18 points from nine-round that concluded at the Chess Federation hall room in NSC old Building here on Wednesday.
Shahin Chess Club finished runners-up securing 14 points.
League champion Leonine Chess Club and runners-up Shahin Chess Club promoted to the Premier Division Chess League.
Dhaka Knight Chess Club became 3rd with 13 points.
Champions Leonine Chess Club received a prize money of Tk 50,000, runners-up Shahin Chess Club 30,000 and third-placed Dhaka Knight’s Chess Club Tk 20,000.
Executive Director of Walton Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn was the chief guest in the Thursday’s prize distribution ceremony and later handed over the prizes
