Two boys drowned and a young man was killed in a lightning strike in
Baliadangi and Sadar upazilas of the district on Monday.
In Sadar upazila, Mantu, 12, son of Ratan Das of Hotatpara area,
drowned in the Tangon River in the morning.
In Baliadangi upazila, Zahirul, 17, son of Muslem Uddin of Dangi
village, drowned in the Tirnoi River at noon when he along with his
two friends was taking their bath.
In another incident, Dinkato, 25, son of Amit Nath of Danibasti
village, was struck by a streak of lighting around 11am while he was
working on his cropland. He died on the spot. -UNB, Thakurgaon
