Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Thursday said a list has been prepared to prevent ‘infiltrators’ and ‘controversial’ elements from making their way into the party and having any post in the upcoming council.
He revealed the information at a press conference at the AL President’s Dhanmondi political office. Quader, also the Road Transport and Bridges Minister, said party chief Sheikh Hasina provided a list which was prepared by herself based on intelligence reports and information gleaned from her own sources.
“We’re alert so that infiltrators and controversial people cannot get any post in the upcoming party council,” he said adding the list is being sent to district leaders from the party central office.Leaders and activists were given necessary directives in this regard, Quader added.
