Almost a year and a half ago, Dhallywood industry got heated up with claims that Nusrat Faria is going to be seen against popular Bollywood film star Emraan Hashmi in his upcoming next Gawah-The Witness. The news created quite a stir among the local film goers and made them anticipate a full-blown Bollywood venture, which will see a Bangladeshi actor being cast for the female lead.
However, a year and half later Nusraat Faria has watered down the flame by saying No to the film. The actress confirmed that she will no longer be with the film, that she has removed herself from the film. According to her, she removed herself from the movie before last Eid.
“I had to face a lot of flame for the song ‘Allah Meherbaan’ from Boss 2. I don’t want to face something like that ever again. That might happen if I work in any Bollywood film. I don’t want to take any risk, that’s why I have decided not to do it,” said Faria.
Though her decision seems a legitimate one considering how much flame she had to endure due to the content of ‘Allah Meherbaan’ song, some people associated with film are already saying that there were never a deal between Faria and Bishnu Dutta regarding a film. She spread a rumor just to publicize herself.
Faria declined to talk about the rumours and offered a rather plain answer, “The deal has been halted for a long time.” It is also been speculated that Emraan Hashmi is the main reason behind Faria’s decision.
However, Faria’s replacement in the female lead is yet to be decided and the shoot for the film is scheduled to start from January, the actress confirmed. Apart from the unannounced female lead, the film, directed by Bishnu Dutta, will star the likes of Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Emraan Hashmi and Paayel Sarkar.
