At the rising of temperature, the mango trees of the district have been sprouting fast as about 60 percent trees have blossomed, Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) office said.The DAE officials expect that 80 percent mango trees will blossom and they also expect a good yield of mangoes this year if the weather remains favourable.Deputy Director of DAE Saiful Islam said, about 60 percent mango trees have already bloomed and rest sprouting is expected by the next week of the month.He further added that favourable weather, timely rainfall and less dropping of mangoes are important for a good yield of mangoes.CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Feb 13, 2015 (BSS)
