Famous cricketer, and former skipper of the national team, Mashrafe Mortaza was featured in a one-shot commercial- a first for both Bangladesh and him. The commercial was made by Mehedi Hasib on 30June at Dhaka’s massive Coke Studio, and promotes Deko Super Cookies.Regarding the format of the commercial, Hasib said, “Everything was convenient due to Mashrafe’s help. He appeared in the guise of an average Joe. I hope this one-shot commercial will draw everyone’s attention.”
One-shot commercials do not cut in different footage, but are recorded in a single take-one long shot from start to finish. Hasib also said, “Probably this is the first one-shot commercial in Bangladesh.”
The commercial was shot under the banner of Dot Three production house, and is with the editing panel. It will be soon be released on satellite television channel.
