Mazda MX-30 elevates electric vehicles to a new altitude

Though the rise of electric vehicle is assumed as a new technology, it was invented long ago. Looking back to the history, we found that electric vehicles debuted in the mid-era of the 19th century.

However, the electric vehicles fell behind the Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) run vehicles in the race of high operating cost, low maximum speed, limited power of battery-run electric vehicles, etc. Though the electric vehicles failed to get global acceptance, this concept was fruitfully applied in other sectors like electric trains.

In the dawn of the 21st Century, the global awareness became stronger against the environmental damage caused by the emissions released from the hydrocarbon fueled internal combustion engine vehicles. Against the backdrop, the scientists endeavoured to improve the technology of electric vehicles.

The EV technology is advancing gradually. Since December 2018, the worldwide sale of electric vehicle crossed 5 million. Not to mention, electric vehicles are still out of reach for common people around the world.

Kudos goes to Mazda Motor Corporation for making the electric vehicles available to common people in the upcoming year of 2020. Headquartered at Fuchū, Aki, Hiroshima in Japan, Mazda got the reputation as fifteenth biggest international automaker for their massive global production and sales in 2015.

In the Tokyo Motor Show 2019, Mazda unveiled their latest SUV line-up Mazda MX-30, which is going to create a ground-breaking history through initiating the journey of electric vehicles towards mass production. Now what is the specialty of Mazda’s third new generation electric car series MX-30?

If you are a diehard car enthusiast, you must have aware about Mazda’s signature KODO Design Philosophy, which is often called ‘Soul of Motion.’ The automaker claims MX-30 presents a fresh ground for the KODO Design Language, which portrays the potential energy of nature – force of water, wind and animal – in a static form. This design concept has three notions those are alluring, speed and tense. In simple words, this KODO concept integrates the dynamic motion of life and beauty of art into the backbone framework of MX-30 EV series.

The MX-30 modeled car’s frame-top color differs from the rest portion of the body. The rear-ended hatch slope makes this car more user-friendly. You would love its rear pillar features more visible turned lines. And the design of front grille has been simplified which comes with a flat bumper.

Besides, application of eco-friendly recycled materials — like corks, fabrics, etc. – in the MX-30 EV series initiates a new inspiration for automakers to join the cause of making the world a better place for living. It not only creates natural appeal, but also develops a comfy interior zone.

The most amazing feature of the MX-30 EV car is none other than its freestyle door termed as two-and-half-door in cross over shape. This rear-half door resembles suicide-style opening. This ergonomic design opens into a pillar less cabin offering easy access inside the car. Moreover, the couch looking rear seat makes this SUV further comfortable.

You might be curious about the battery pack of MX-30. Hold your breath! MX-30 is equipped with a liquid-cooled battery line-up featuring 35.5 kilo-watt-hour power. It is capable of fetching charge rapidly through fast chargers at 6.6 kilo-watt AC (maximum).

Mazda’s state-of-the-art SUV MX-30 has a 7-ich touch screen placed on the console area ahead of shifter which makes it easy-to-reach for the driver, thanks to Mazda for focusing on Human-Machine interface in the design of MX-30.

What makes Mazda a prominent automaker is their undoubted efforts on road safety emphasized design. The MX-30 is blessed with a suite of potential safety mechanisms on board, including emergency brake, forward collision preventive warning system, lane maintaining aid, adaptive cruise regulator, single-pedal driving mechanism, etc.

To comply with the electric vehicle technology of MX-30, Mazda has modified the design of its comprehensive Skyactiv chassis-frame. This new design feature e-Skyactive implementing the ring-looking multi-directional structures of the car body.

In addition to this, MX-30 car’s G-vectoring regulatory mechanism distributes the frame’s lower weight over the car’s floor area. The engineers have placed the batteries between the center areas of the axles and the rear axle. What is more? The charge controller lies upon the rear axle beneath the luggage storing space.
