Michelle shares dad-girl video song ‘I love my black so much’

Former first lady Michelle Obama shared a video of a dad and daughter singing a powerful song that reads “I love my black so much”.Michelle on Friday wrote a small caption beneath the video on his Instagram profile, “‪ I just love this! Dakota and Daniel are so right: We are strong. #BlackJoy.”
In the short video clip, the duo can be seen singing a song with very simple lyrics, “I love my Black so much, so much, so much. We are strong, and we are powerful.”
The video is original of Daniel Johnson that Michelle Obama re-shared to her 40.3 million followers, reports today.com.
Learning of sharing the video by Michelle Obama, Jonshon said: “Oh my God. Are you serious? I’m gonna pull this car over and scream.”
Full-time musician Jonshon took a break from music amid the pandemic to focus on working with his daughter, Dakota Elle Johnson, who just turned 5 on July 3.
“I’m a girl dad and I am teaching my daughter music,” he said.
The melodies, Johnson records and shares on social media, have an empowering message of not only accepting the self despite one’s differences but loving the self because of differences.
“I was teased a lot for having darker skin, so I never wanted my kids to go through that,” he explained.
Jonshon said: “What I do is what I wanted for myself. I empower my daughter by singing to her about her being beautiful and her skin being beautiful so even when I’m not here and when she gets old — because this type of thing stays with you for the rest of your life — she will remember it.”
“I try to teach her to love herself even when dad is not around. I want my daughters to know that they are beautiful no matter what,” Jonshon added. – Agencies
