Dhaka – The Hurray Mini School (Boys and Girls) Handball Tournament, organized by Bangladesh Handball Federation, advanced to the semifinal stages on the 3rd day at the Shaheed Capt (Retd) M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium here on Thursday.In the boys’ semifinals, Motijheel Model School & College will play Shaheed Police Smriti College while Heed International School will encounter Dhaka Residential Model & College Friday morning.In the girls’ semifinals, The Aga Kan School will meet Sunnydale School and Shaheed Anwar will encounter Motijheel Govt Girls High School, also on Friday morning.The final matches of both and girls’ competition will be held Friday afternoon.Secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Asadul Islam will be the chief guest in the final.Earlier in the day’s quarterfinals, Heed Internationals beat BAF Shaheen School 12-10 goals, Shaheed Police Smriti beat Aga Khan School 11-4, Residential Model School beat Sunnydale 6-5 while Motijheel Model School defeated Saint Gregory’s High School by 11-6 goals at the same venue.
