Mobile court conducts drive against food adulteration in Rangpur

A mobile court of Rangpur City Corporation (RCC) in an anti-adulteration drive today fined a bakery and evicted illegal shops from the roadside footpaths in the city, official sources said.  Executive Magistrate of the City Corporation Rashedul Karim conducted the anti- adulteration drive at different places in the city.  Concerned officials and employees of the City Corporation and policeforces were present while conducting the anti- adulteration drive.The mobile court conducted a sudden drive at the Factory of ‘Mouban Bakery’ and fined it Taka 5,000 for selling uncovered, adulterated,rotten and old foods in unhygienic and dirty   environment.Besides, the mobile court evicted roadside shops from near the City Bhaban, Rangpur Government Girls’ High School, Rangpur Tennis Club,Rangpur Police Lines School & College and Rangpur Zoo areas during the drive.Executive Magistrate of the City Corporation Rashedul Karim informed BSS that similar drive will be conducted in future to ensure pure foodstuffs for the citizens and turning Rangpur into a beautiful,eco-friendly and clean city.BSS, Rangpur
