While the monsoon brings a welcome respite from the summer heat, it also poses a lot of problems to healthy skin. This season, adhere to these simple tips for a gorgeous skin. First showers of monsoon are heartily welcomed by everyone after experiencing the scorching heat of summer. Monsoon is the time where your skin behaves a little strange and is often unstable; suddenly it’s gets oily or become dry and dehydrated. According to Ayurveda rainy season and post rainy season are also the respective times for accumulation and aggravation of Pitta, which is the functional energy of our body dominant in fire element, and is primarily responsible for metabolism and digestion of food. Diseases caused by Pitta like hyperacidity, indigestion, skin disorders (boils, eczema, and rashes), hair loss, and infections are common in this season. Hence it is indispensable to take care of one’s body and skin during this season in order to look glowing and beautiful.
A few simple tips you can follow:
1.    Major issue during rainy season is the fungal infection. So never keep your skin and body wet for long time.
2.    If your skin is getting dry then just moisturize it. Apply a mix of rose water, glycerin, honey, almond or moisturizer before sleep. Moisturizer should be used according to your skin type.
3.    If your skin is oily or blackheads and whiteheads are noticeable and growing more like a weed then reduce the oil from skin by using water based moisturizers, cleansing it multiple times, drinking excess of water and applying citrus fruit peel pack.
4.    Opt for a natural face wash for deep cleansing. Clean the skin 3 – 4 times a day, which helps your pores to breath and get cleanse.
5.    Toning is must. Non alcoholic toner must be used to avoid skin eruption and infection.
6.    Use a mild exfoliating scrub twice a day to remove dead cells.
