DHAKA – ‘Mujib Barsho’ Federation Cup Taekwondo competition begins tomorrow (Thursday) at Mohammadpur Taekwondo Club in the city.
Bangladesh Taekwondo Federation (BTF) president Kazi Morshed Hossain Kamal is expected to inaugurate the two-day meet as the chief guest at 11 am, organised by BTF.
A total of 150 poomsae participants from ten services teams, including Border Guard Bangladesh, Ansar and Bangladesh Police, are taking part in the competition which the BTF has arranged to celebrate the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The closing ceremony of the competition will be held on Friday (October 23) with Nurul Hasan Faridi, deputy director general of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Party, is expected to present as the chief guest and distribute the prizes.
Besides, BTF general secretary Mahmudul Islam Rana and other federation’s officials will also present on the occasion.BSS
