A farmer was found dead with the throat slashed at Siddhi village in Shailakupa upazila on Monday morning. The deceased was identified as Moinuddin, son of Ekdil Biswas of the village.
Officer-in-charge Monir Uddin Mollah of Shailakupa Police Station said Moinuddin had gone out of his house on Sunday evening in order to recharge his torchlight at Amtala Bazar at the village and did not return since then. Local people found Moinuddin’s throat-slit body lying in a wheat field in the morning and informed police.Later, police recovered the body and sent it to hospital morgue for an autopsy.
The reason behind the killing could not be ascertained yet, police said. – UNB
