Mustafizur sold to Sunrisers for Rs. 1.4 crore

The Sunrisers Hyderabad, a cricket Franchise-based in the city of Hyderabad, has bought Bangladesh bowling sensation Mustafizur Rahman for Rs.1.4 crores.He was sold at the auction of players for Indian Premier League held on Saturday in Bengaluru.

Mustafizur Rahman is specialized as a left-arm medium fast bowler, source cricket website.Hyderabad began the call for Mustafizur, and then Vijay Mallya’s Royal Challengers Bengaluru joined the bid. But the latter gave up once Hyderabad raised it to 14 million rupees.Mustafizur is the sixth Bangladeshi cricketer to be drafted in IPL auctions. Before him, Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, Tamim Iqbal, Mohammad Ashraful, Abdur Razzak and Shakib Al Hasan were recruited by franchises in the Indian domestic Twenty20 competition.Mustafizur’s base price was set at five million rupees.Mustafizur has played only seven T20 internationals in his career, and took 10 wickets at an average of 15. In nine ODIs, he has 26 wickets at 12.3 with 6/43 his best performance. He played two Tests and has four wickets in his bag. He became the first Bangladeshi cricketer to feature in ICC’s ODI Team of the Year.In this year’s IPL, all squads can have a minimum of 16 players and a maximum of 27.No franchise can have more than nine foreigners in their squads.
