Nawazish Ali Khan is popular name of the TV industry. Yesterday was the 50 year’s anniversary of his career in media. Nawazish started first started his job in Karachi TV on November 29, 1967. In honour of his 50 years in the media ATN Bangla arranged an elaborate felicitation programme at FDC. Dr Mahfuzur Rahman, chairman of ATN Bangla was present at the event along with Mustafa Monwar, Fatema Tuz Zohra, Dr Inamul Haque and more.
They talked about various points of the life and career of Nawazish Ali Khan. Nawazish Ali Khan was given a crest, cloak and portrait by the celebrities at the event. Nawazih Ali Khan is presently the advisor of programmes at ATN Bangla.
He has been cherishing this post for the last fifteen years. Prior to that he was engaged in ETV for two years and in BTV for twenty-eight years.Nawazish Ali Khan had remained engaged with Pakistani media till the end of the Liberation War of Bangladesh. But in 1972 he managed to find an escape route via Afghanistan and India to Bangladesh.
He joined BTV that very same year. Under his guidance mand dramas were successfully shaped for TV adaptation. He has adapted dramas by Syed Mujtaba Ali and Professor Syed Akram Hossain. He has also served as a TV producer for many of Humayun Ahmed’s drama serials and single episode dramas. Humayun Ahmed’s first TV drama “Prothom Prohor” was produced by Nawazish Ali Khan for BTV. Nawazish Ali khan was born on October 2 in 1942. His ancestral home is in Barisal.
