Dhaka – A 10-day solo art exhibition of artist Nazir Hossain began at Gallery Cosmos-2 in the city on Friday.Japanese Ambassador to Bangladesh Shiro Sadoshima inaugurated the exhibition, titled ‘Pater Gaan Banglar Bagh’.
The exhibition at the Gallery Cosmos-2 (Road No. 6, House No. 115, New DOHS, Mohakhali) will remain open until November 24 from 11am to 8pm everyday.
Speaking on the occasion, renowned art critic Moinuddin Khaled said the specialty of Nazir’s paintings is that they tell some stories, very similar to that of tradition Patchitras (scroll paintings).
Nazir’s artworks also highlight Bengaliness for his internalisation of the style and motive of the folk art of the country, particularly for his selection of the Royal Bengal Tiger as the central character, he added.
