A Nor’wester has left Barisal city without electricity since the early hours of Friday.Power supply authorities said the storm had damaged distribution lines in different parts of the city.“(Electricity) lines snapped at different places of the city during the storm… So, power supply remains cut since 3am,” said Md Iftekhar Uddin, an engineer of the West Zone Power Distribution Company.He told bdnews24.com that repairs had started power supply was expected become normal around Friday noon.The fire service said the storm had uprooted several trees but no major damage was reported.
