Manikganj, Aug 21: Launch services on the Paturia-Daulatdia and Aricha-Kazirhat routes resumed on Friday morning, after a 24-hour of suspension due to inclement weather.Launch movements in these two routs started around 8:30 am Friday.
Faridul Islam, assistant director, Department of Maritime Safety and Traffic of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) at Aricha, said launch services were suspended on Thursday morning due to stormy weather.
A total of 17 ferries were operated on the Paturia-Daulatdia route and 16 on the Aricha-Kazirhat, he said.
However, passengers did not suffer much as they travelled by ferry.
