Two tribal people, including a leader of Parbatya Chattagram Jana Sanghati Samity (PCJSS), were shot dead in an attack by miscreants at Lemuchari in Sadar upazila early Sunday.
The deceased were identified as Supriya Chakma, a leader of the PCJSS and a resident of Ananda Bihar area, and Malay Chakma, a resident of Rangapani area.Local sources said a gang of miscreants sprayed around 50 bullets on them leaving the duo dead on the spot at about 2:30 am.
The Officer-in-Charge of Rangamati Police Station Mohammad Rashid confirmed the deaths.- UNB
